"To Do" on Arrival in Sri Lanka Airport (Katunayaka)
1. Go to the Foreign Nationals Immigration counter (Ensure you have the passport & visa printed)
2. The Immigration Officer will ask the purpose of the visit (Answer Tourist). How long are you planning to stay  (Answer: 7 days)
3. Then the immigration officer will stamp the passport with a 30 Day visa. Check to ensure that this is there when you receive the Passport.
3B. Make sure you Disable "Airplane Mode" in your cell phone & ensure you have signals.
3C  Connect your WIFI to the Airport Free WIFI services. 
3D Check for Text from Your Taxi Driver and Respond That You Have Arrived. 
4. Proceed to the Baggage Pickup area, passing the Duty Free shops. & Pick up the bag from the specific baggage carousel for your flight. 
5. Pick a free luggage trolley and pick up all bags and proceed towards exit. 
6. While walking towards the exit, you see Customs Lanes. Go through the GREEN channel, which means "Nothing to Declare," which means you have nothing special to declare.
7. Once you pass the "Exit Door" of the secure area, go to the Bank of Ceylon or Commercial Bank counter and exchange all Indian Rupees to Sri Lankan Rupees.
8. Go to the Dialog Phone Booth and purchase a Prepaid SIM valid for 7 days (around LKR 600-1,000). Ask the Dialog staff to help load the SIM as your secondary. 
9. Do not switch to the Sri Lanka SIM Card as PRIMARY until you have found your driver at the Airport Arrival.  Only switch as primary when you are at the hotel. Dail Hotel number and verify if your Local Sri Lanka SIM is working.
10. Once at your hotel, make sure all valuables, Passport, ID, and Gold, Jewellery are kept in a Safe (in-room or Hotel Safe).
11. Do not carry your passport when going outside the hotel.. However, make sure you get it when you leave to Airport to return to your Home Country.
12. Contact your driver one day before and on the of departure to confirm time of pickup at your hotel.
